Faq For Maxillary Sinus Infection
Joseph asks…Can sinusitis cause wheezing?I've got a bad maxillary sinus infection and a very clogged nose + my throat hurts. Lately I noticed wheezing. Is this normal?
I've had bronchitis about 3 weeks ago and I still get the occasional breathlessness attack + wheezing but I don't think the 2 are related.Mary Wei answers:Yes, wheezing similar to asthma. Hay fever can cause similar wheezing. Try to get plenty of vitamins/minerals in your diet. Dairy foods are best avoided when you have sinus

Faq For Maxillary Sinus Infection Treatment
Maria asks…Your choice of antibiotic for a sinusitis.?The doc has me on Levaquin to help with a blocked maxillary cavity. He said that if it doesn't work, then I'll have to get surgery to have my sinus drained. I'd rather not go under the "knife" until I have exhausted my medical treatment options.
Those who have had bad sinusitis, what antibiotics have you used to alleviate the infection?
These are the ones that I've had: Avelox, Z-Pack, Augmentin, and Levaquin (4 days current).Mary

and this has been going on for a little more than four months, and to me that doesnt even sound like a sinus infection (my nose is not even stuffy or running)

Faq For Maxillary Sinus
Thomas asks…Why do we have a maxillary sinus?Do we need it? Why? Can it be removed?
If we didn't have it would we not have allergies?Mary Wei answers:The maxillary sinus serves many purposes.
